Fixed point theorems under locally $T$-transitive binary relations employing Matkowski contractions

Abstract
In this paper, we extend the relation-theoretic contraction principle due to Alam and Imdad (J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 17 (2015) 693-702) for Matkowski contractions employing a locally $T$-transitive binary relation. Our results improve and enrich several fixed point theorems of the existing literature.
