On the construction of solutions of general linear boundary value problems for systems of functional differential equations

Abstract

We consider a linear non-local boundary value problem on a closed bounded interval for a system of linear functional differential equations with a strongly bounded linear operator. We describe a method of construction of its solution using successive approximations by the sequence of the solutions of simple boundary value problems. Conditions which guarantee the convergence of the above mentioned sequences are given in general and special cases, and it is proved that the convergence in some sense stable. As an illustration, we solve some typical problems using Maple.
